Herbs and Oils for Ostara

Ostara Herbs and Oils

Ostara, also known as the Vernal Equinox, is typically celebrated on, or around, the 21st of March.  It is the first day of Spring. This is one of the two holidays in which we celebrate the balance of the light and dark. We are entering the light half of the year. By light half, I do not mean anything good or bad, but simply that the sun is up for more hours in the day then it is set. If you live in the southern hemisphere, the opposite is true. You would be having more night time then day time.

My Ostara Incense & Anointing Oil are created with the intention of Celebrating Ostara, the Vernal Equinox, the balance of light and dark, to welcome Spring, the blossoming of beautiful spring flowers, and the renewal of the land.  It is time to clean and refresh!

Herbs that are commonly associated with Ostara are:

All Spring Flowers, Lemon Verbena, Rose Buds & Petals, Clove Buds, Lemon Grass, Red and White Cedar, Red Sandalwood, Mullein Leaf, Red Clover Blossoms, and Sandalwood Resin.

Oils that are commonly associated with Ostara are:

Lavender, Rosemary, Cypress, Rosewood, Lemon, Cedarwood, Clove, Sandalwood, and most other floral scents.

As always, there are many other associations as they vary path to path. These are the ones that I am drawn to work with.  I hope that they help to lead you to find the ones that work best for you.
