Damiana Leaf, Turnera diffusa, is a shrub native to southern Texas in the United States, Mexico, Central America, South America, and the Caribbean. It is sometimes referred to as Mexican Damiana. Most often, it used for its aphrodisiac properties, to boost libido, and help with sexual stamina. This tradition has been used by many Native American tribes for hundreds of years.
Herbalists have also discovered many other uses for Damiana. It is also used to treat headaches, depression, bedwetting, constipation, and nervous stomach; for prevention and treatment of sexual problems; for female reproduction issues, especially during menopause; and for strengthening and maintaining both mental and physical stamina.
